“ It is the language of reflection that deepens our knowledge of who we are in relation to others in a community of learners.” Carole Miller and Juliana Saxton, University of Victoria
The literature says that we learn from reflecting on experience. We do this constantly in our daily lives when we tell a story. A blog is a more formal way to story tell than just telling a friend. It is written and one can go back and reflect on the story. Great insight can be learned by reading one’s own writing and thoughts. I am looking forward to using my eportfolio to reflect on my learning.
The benefits of eportfolio are endless. It can be used as a tool for personal development, career planning, and a place to develop goals for learning.

I am enjoying the process of learning and building an eportfolio in my graduate program. I want the eportfolio to be something I continue throughout my career even when I complete the program because I see its value as a portable tool I can carry with me.
On a more pragmatic level, I want it to be a place where I can show potential employers what I can do and what I have learned in the hope that I land in the right place according to my interests and skill sets.
